The convergence project team “Aosami” of Incheon National University won the Grand Prize at the “8th University Student Creativity Competition,” held on the 20th at Seoul National University of Education.

The competition, hosted by the Korean Society for Creativity Education, was conducted under the theme “A New Direction for Education that Fosters Creativity, Ethics, and Problem-Solving Skills in Coexistence with AI.”

The award-winning project, “Uni-Sync,” is a global education platform that integrates AI-based interpretation and translation, class matching, industry-linked projects, and portfolio generation functions. It was evaluated as “a creative and practical idea that organically connects technology, education, and recruitment.”

Team “Aosami” consists of seven students from diverse majors, demonstrating strong interdisciplinary collaboration: Sung-bin Choi (Team Leader, Department of Economics), Won-young Lee (Department of Electronic Engineering), Se-hyun Park (Department of Chemistry), Young-jun Kim (Department of Korean Language and Literature), Ja-eun Shim (Department of Safety Engineering), Sun-jae Kim (Department of Economics), and Geon-mu Ra (School of Law).

This project was carried out through the linkage of the general education course “Creative Thinking and Problem Solving,” taught by Professor Tae-yeon Yang of the Institute of General Education at Incheon National University, and the extracurricular program “Core Competency Enhancement Mentoring.”

Student Sung-bin Choi commented, “The process of turning an idea into reality itself was an experience of expressing creativity,” adding, “I am glad to have realized how valuable the journey of finding creative solutions truly is.”
